CHAPTER 1- South Jordan Elementary
"Same old, same old." I replied.
"Text, email, drama?"
"Text, email drama."
See, me and Jacob are best friends. We have been best friends for as long as I can remember. Figure of speech. We are almost at the end of sixth grade. Drama, drama, drama. Hooray for us, right?
"What kind was it this time?" He questioned.
"Same kind. Bratty girls, jerkish boys, and all kinds of relationships." I relied
"Ahh... relation what now?" He asked.
"Relationships. You know, love." I sighed.
"Well, I should've known that by now, considering what I have been through..." He hinted.
We both laughed.
"Sad that I havn't been through those happy times. I kind of feel like an outcast now." I said.
"You will get your time. You just have to wait for the right girl." He reassured.
We didn't talk for a minute, and then I decided to say something before my mouth went dry.
"I read the news and it said that there has been some trouble around town. A few kids have been spotted breaking power lines, vandalizing property, graffitti, all that stuff."
"Since when do you read the news?" He asked.
"All the time. I need something to do!"
"I just watch the TV, and I heard the same thing. Someone has to do something. It said that the cops have been on the lookout all around town, but they have seen nothing in the night or day! Whoever they are dealing with, they are sneaky."
"I wonder how much damage will be done before they catch the criminals."
"A lot, probably."
The doors at the front of the bus opened and Morgan Anderson walked down the aisle. She was the most beautiful and popular girl in school, and she thought that we were nerds. Great. She wore hot clothes all the time and she had long black hair that always draped down over her shoulders. While she was walking down the aisle, kids kept telling her to sit next to them, but she just kept walking. Then she reached us.
"Hey guys! Make some room?"
Jacob and I stared at each other and knew what the other was thinking. They were thinking 'Oh my gosh, I don't think that she has ever talked to us before, unless she was insulting us, so why would she want to talk to us now?'.
Jacob looked back at her, "Since when do you talk to the nerds of the school?" He asked.
He was right. Morgan had called us nerds before when she was mad at Jacob for 'stealing' her best friend from her. By the way, yes, it was a girl.
"You know I was kidding when I said that." she smiled, "Can we talk?" She pointed at me.
I froze and did not know what to say. I tried to talk, but I think that the only words that came out of my mouth were "Ah cah gah".
Morgan burst out laughing and Jacob stood up, winked at me, then walked down the aisle. Morgan sat down next to me.
When I finally knocked myself out of the trance that I was in, I managed to talk to her.
"So what's up?" I stammered.
"Do you want me to give you the short version of what I have to say, or the long version?" She asked m. She didn't even say hi! Oh wait, she said that already.
"Uhhh... short version?" I said with a rising inflection in my voice.
She took a long deep breath, which seemed big enough to take all the air in the bus in.
"I love you." She said.
"No really, what do you have to say?" I asked.
"That was it." She replied.
"Huh?"
"That was what I had to tell you."
"Riiight..."
"I'm serious!"
"You're funny."
"Does this face look serious to you?!" She was almost yelling, and all the kids were staring at the scene.
I looked at her face, which I had to say it looked like she was in pain, and truthfully said "No."
"What do I have to say for you to make me believe you?"
"After what you have previously said to me, it is impossible for me to think that you love me." I said, "In the future, think about what you are saying or doing to someone and then think about what you want to tell them after that, then think about if what you are doing will affect you later."
She looked at me with a confused face, "...you lost me." She said.
"I'll think about it." I said.

Math. Fun.
A small piece of paper flopped down on my desk. U unfolded it once, twice, three times, four times, and just when I was getting tired of it, it opened up to pencil writings. They said:
Do you like me?
I knew who had written it. Only one girl could have that I knew.
I am still thinking about it. I folded up the note and tossed to my right, where she acted like she was tired and waiting.
I folded the note to my right and waited for her to answer.
After a breif silence, she bagan writing and then threw the note to me. It said:
Well, think faster. Now are you ready?
I wrote:
Yea.
She wrote:
Then what do you think?
I wrote:
Yea, I think that I like you.
She wrote:
Do you know what this means???
I wrote:
Yes, it means that I am going crazy.
She wrote:
You are such a jerk. I think that I have changed my mind about you.
I wrote:
I was kidding.
She wrote:
Fine. Whatever.
And then the bell rang and so we all picked up our books and headed out the door. I stopped on my way to talk to Jacob, where he told me to walk with him to lunch. On the way down, someone bumped me and I looked to my right to see who it was.
"Hey!" Morgan cheerfully told me as she looked at me.
"Oh, hey." I replied.
"Wanna sit by me in lunch?" She asked.
"Sure!" I replied, "But only if Jake can too."
"That is fine with me!" She said.
